Saw Island Foundation Website Launch

While we are personally inclined to keep our grant making both private and anonymous, we have been persuaded that the benefits of sharing information about our foundation and our grantees outweighs our concerns.  We hope that the website will:

  • reduce solicitation efforts by non-profits who do not fit our funding profile
  • improve our response time to funding requests
  • introduce potential grant recipients to the foundation
  • promote the successes of our grantee organizations

Saw Island Foundation is a family foundation seeking to empower innovative and high-impact organizations to improve existing programs and pioneer new approaches to solving problems and inefficiencies in health, education and delivery of social services.

Ragazzi Spring Concerts

Trebles in Paradise

Raffle prize drawing at the concert

What are young boys capable of, musically? A whole lot! Trebles in Paradise showcases the wide diversity of styles, periods and musical expression available in a top boys chorus.  Featuring Ragazzi’s unchanged treble voices in the Full Concert Chorus and Premiere groups, this performance will appeal to boys who might be interested in joining Ragazzi.  Some of our classical repertoire will be performed, contrasting with an atmospheric modern piece aptly named Lightning.  We’ve added choreography to tell the story of Sesere eeye, a traditional Australian fishermen’s song from the remote Torres Strait islands.  Just for fun, we’ll present the soft-shoe song-and-dance Hats and a calypso arrangement of Buy me chocolate.
